The largest “horses” in the barn are 56 passenger luxury motorcoaches. Recline in climate controlled, air-ride equipped comfort!
Why Horses?
Before coach buses, there were horses and coachmen. Though modes of transportation have changed much over the years, we still have a passion for providing elegant “horse drawn” transportation.
Before ever driving buses, Nathan and Jessica Olander provided horse drawn carriage service for weddings and special events with Friesian horses. The Friesian horses on our buses are a nod to our roots and to those of Olander Bus Service’s garages as well.
The location of Olander Bus Service Inc. was originally a livery or horse stable which provided transportation services within easy reach of downtown Detroit Lakes, MN. Our business continues to serve the transportation needs of the community and we still have “horses” in the stable.

TOPFLIGHT clean buses
We use commercial steam! 316*F and 125psi makes it hard for anything gross to survive and yet is gentle, hypoallergenic, and environment friendly. Ever wonder about those psychedelic colors on bus seats? We do too! They are designed to hide dander, stains, hair, and all sorts of nasty. Our coach interiors are simple and it is easy to see that they are clean. NO HIDING!

School Bus Charter
For those shorter excursions with economy in mind, we also offer a 2018 International 77 passenger school bus which will comfortably seat up to 53 adults.
We hire the attitude and train the skill
We are always interested in having energetic people with positive attitudes join our team! Preference is given to those that have a CDL or are interested in obtaining one. We have a proprietary training program and multiple trainers as a part of our team to help take the stress and anxiety out of obtaining your CDL. Our proprietary training program includes relevant ongoing education topics and access to some of the very best industry resources.
